Oh, Good and Bad Apples in the Tree!

I have an Apple tree that did not bear fruit last year, but this year it did. Some apples finally started to form, but they are misshapen and blemished. Although the worms or bugs are enjoying it more than we are… Lol. My husband don’t eat apples, he’s deathly allergic to them. So I thought, I’m going to make some homemade apple chutney for me. Yumm, yumm.

We have a nectarine tree, but its fruit is small and never fully ripens. It survived the fire eight years ago. At least the roots did. Probably wants for water and/or fertilizer…

Well at least you’re providing meal service for the worms and a few birds if nothing else. 😉 They gotta eat too. Maybe you can make preserves out of the mishapen ones that the worms and bugs have gotten to.

Lol! … My birds are happily eating, while the squirrels clean up the stuff that’s been dropped. I’ve found that the ugly misshapen apples from my tree taste a million times better than the perfectly-shaped, waxed ones you find at the grocery store. Delightfully misshapen, but oh-so-tasty! 😉
